THE ARC EXCEEDS GOAL WITH WARREN MULLINS AS ANNUAL FUND CHAIR

[ABERDEEN, MD] - Warren Mullins, Vice President of Business Development and Strategic Planning for Battelle in Aberdeen was the Chairperson for The Arc Northern Chesapeake Region's 2005 Annual Fund Campaign. Mr. Mullins, a former chemistry major and retired U.S. Army officer, has helped lead the local expansion of Battelle, which has made the company a major Harford County employer with over 400 employees.

With his able leadership The Arc was able to share their vision with many key leaders in the community and surpass their original goal that will allow them to supply computers and internet linkage in their community residences so they can apply their skills learned at The Arc's Computer Technology Center.

Mr. Mullins adds, " As a Vice President of Battelle, I am in the business of innovation and breakthrough solutions that provide advances in technology to further growth in society. The Arc is also in the business of innovation and providing solutions ..for some of our very bravest citizens..those who have the challenge of navigating life with a disability. Giving the clients home computers is one of The Arc's major goals this year and we can reach that goal with community support."

To build on this successful campaign, Battelle will continue to partner with The Arc by providing volunteers to work with people with developmental disabilities supported by The Arc throughout the year.

The Arc offers a wide variety of services to individuals with developmental disabilities in Harford and Cecil County, both children and adults, to make informed choices in their lifestyles, vocations, education and recreational pursuits, and to assure stable and nurturing lives among their families and friends.
